Fundraising Event in Cordoba
The local project in Cordoba organized its first fundraising event to generate local funds. The event was organized by volunteers who got 100 people, including important local figures like Guillermo Hemmerling, who presented the event. There was a silent auction, the scholars were present and spoke about themselves, how important GO was in their lives and how it really made a difference.
The scholars spoke about each artist presented at the auction and all of the pieces were sold. There was traditional argentinean food and much socializing. A few pictures are posted on our facebook (more to come soon) : http://www.facebook.com/giveanopportunity
Special Sponsor for GO in Cordoba
The famous Miguel Claria, a local famous reporter, has become the official local sponsor for GO in Cordoba. In the past month he has helped us tremendously, both promoting our cause and our event.
New Workshops for the Scholars
On April 16 the scholars started two workshops, Mask Making and Film, along with the respective volunteers. It was a great first experience for all of them enjoying the various activities carried out.
On the one hand, the scholars worked with wood letting their imagination and inspiration flow to use the tools. Each one created his work of art (his mask), no matter how dirty they stayed. (its a big deal to get dirty since scholars dont have washers to clean their clothes and they dont have much OTHER clothes to change into).
On the same day, without forgetting the group of cinema, they had an introductory class. They learned through information technology and web, and being from the computer generation, they were all fascinated.

In this section we want to introduce you the students of the program "Give an Opportunity" who need a sponsor. You will get to know everything about them: the activities they do, their future aspirations, their biography, etc.
