News about the "Give An Opportunity" Program

Activities in Cordoba
Activities done, half of the year already gone! Activities the local scholars have accomplished together with our volunteers:
1) Student Day Celebration and Integration Workshop. Every year in Argentina, as the first day of spring comes, it is a big celebration called "Student day". Since our scholars have done great during the year, volunteers had a picnic in the park of "Las Tejas" to celebrate with them their day.

At the same time, as part of the celebration, participate in the "Integration Workshop" taught by the volunteer Cecilia Guazzini. This activity is done to improve ties of friendship between the scholars, for greater trust between them and better integrate the group.

2) Abstract Paintings Workshop with the goal to strengthen the creativity of the scholarship and show how much they can do with your imagination and effort. The volunteer Fernanda Del Ceri did "frame size", where students learned to do abstract paintings with textures.

3) Ceremony Protocol workshop ended. The volunteers where: Rosario Garcia, Valeria Rossi and Maria Celeste Fonseca. Within the three sessions, they worked different topics such as etiquette, the art of entertaining, personal and professional image and finally a workshop on public speaking.

All the scholars were very involved.

Fundraising Activities in Cordoba
In October, GO in Cordoba will participate in the official presentation of "Lutte". It will be held on Thursday October 13 in Cordoba. Will present the spring-summer collection of home design.

Volunteers: New event coming up

From Miami, FL, Connie Marianacci will be working on putting a schedule together with future fundraising events in the area. Miami is an ideal locations to reach Latin America since they are all over Florida.

We still dont have enough sponsors to be able to support our program. We have had to cut down on the material benefits we give our scholars because we dont have enough funds.
