Our History
The program GO – GIVE AN OPPORTUNITY was born in Cordoba, Argentina, in the context of the great crisis of 2001. The serious economic situation has affected all sectors of society, especially the poorest.
The teachers of the IPEM 18 school, located in the north of Córdoba surrounded by poor neighborhoods, were the first persons to be affected by the consequences of this crisis like unemployment, poverty, school dropouts, increased demand for food in school, etc. Teachers began to seek help.
Thus was born GO – GIVE AN OPPORTUNITY, which has grown over time and today it is a comprehensive fellowship program whose goal it is to enable selected students the access to better education, by eliminating the common obstacles like the lack of money and food by promoting values such as multiculturalism, responsibility, the desire of achievement, and recognition of one's own abilities that help them to achieve their desires.
